Upcoming Events - 2010

March 13 & 14, 2010 - Sat: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm; Sun: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Golden Empire Historical & Modeling Society's Annual Model Train Show, Horace Massey Building, Kern County Fairgrounds, 1142 S. P Street, Bakersfield, CA.

Admission is $6.00 for adults, kids 12 and under admitted free, when accompanied by a paying adult. Admission is good for both days. Approximately 100 vendor tables with model train supplies for sale and thousands of square feet of operating model trains on display. Train rides for railfans of all ages ($2.00 additional charge) Contact info: (661) 331-6695; email carldw@aol.com.

PCR Daylight Division will have an NMRA information table at the show. Contact Dave Grenier at grenida@pacbell.net  if you can staff the table for an hour or two either day. Bring a kit to work on!

Railroad Days is the premier free weekend rail festival in Southern California. More than 40,000 people of all ages have been drawn annually to a decade of festivals. More than ninety organizations and companies have participated each year.

16th Annual Garden Layout Tour & Food Drive June 26, 2010 - 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, 16th Annual Garden Layout Tour and Food Drive to benefit St. Joseph's Family Center in Gilroy and the Community Pantry in Hollister, presented by South County Garden Railroaders. Visit 13 model railroads running through some of the most unusual backyard gardens in Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Hollister, and Salinas

Drop off your donations of non-perishable food items (canned goods, pasta, cereal, etc.), cash, or checks (payable to "St Joseph's Family Center" or "Community Pantry") and pickup a guide book of the layouts after June 1st at any of these locations:
